Albany County Department of Public Works invites community members and stakeholders to participate in a virtual public meeting regarding the Watervliet Shaker Road Phase III Highway Improvement Project. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 7:00 PM via Zoom Webinar. Registration is required for the event. The purpose of the virtual meeting is to inform the public and solicit public input about proposed alternatives for roadway improvements along Watervliet Shaker Road from New Karner Road to Sand Creek Road. The event will include an overview presentation by the County’s consultant team to introduce the project, provide information about existing conditions and discuss proposed alternatives for highway improvements. Meeting attendees are encouraged to participate during the meeting through participant polls and a question-and-answer session at the end of the presentation. 

Albany County has initiated Phase III of highway improvements along Watervliet Shaker Road (CR157) from New Karner Road to Sand Creek Road. The project addresses a variety of improvements, including pavement rehabilitation and roadway widening, providing safe pedestrian and bicycle connectivity and intersection level of service deficiencies. 

The planning process is being guided by the Albany County Department of Public Works highway Division and facilitated by a consultant team led by M.J. Engineering and Land Surveying, P.C. (MJ) of Clifton Park.
