The Albany County Redistricting Commission and the Majority Minority District Redistricting subcommittee will hold their final joint Public Hearing on the redistricting map adopted by the Commission on July 21, 2022, and which is now available online at www.albanycounty.com/acrc/maps for public review.

This hearing will be held in the Cahill Room on the first floor of the Harold L. Joyce County Office Building, 112 State St, Albany NY 12207, at 5:30 pm on August 4, 2022.

The purpose of this hearing will be to allow public comment on the proposed district map before its final submission to the Albany County Legislature for approval. This map was significantly changed subsequent to the last Public Hearing, primarily by the increase from 6 to 7 in the number of recommended Majority Minority County Legislature districts.

Maps of all the proposed Legislative Districts are available now at albanycounty.com/acrc/maps, including a link to our interactive, online map.

This hearing will be held both in-person and virtually. Persons wishing to speak or submit testimony should email the Commission at redistrictingcommission@albanycountyny.gov or MMDredistricting@albanycountyny.gov and indicate whether they will testify in person or via Zoom, and do so no later than noon on August 4.
