Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy has unveiled the new reusable grocery bag design and winner this morning at Albany High School. Sophomore Nathan Jenkins’ “Don’t Use Plastic Bags” design was selected he entered it with our submissions from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area. Design entries encouraged the public to reduce our reliance on disposable paper bags and to protect the environment.

The thermal insulated bags are free, available in the lobby in the county office building at 112 State Street (while supplies last) and will be distributed throughout the county.
