The Albany County Department of Public Works advises that there will be periodic closures of the section of the Albany County Rail Trail near the Bender Melon Farm Preserve Bridge in New Scotland over the next six weeks starting this Wednesday. This will be required while restoration work on the bridge continues, including replacing the decking. Working hours for this will be 7am to 3:30pm each weekday until the work is complete. Full closures of the Rail Trail will be minimized to the extent possible. Albany County thanks you in advance for your patience during this important project.
