Albany County Department for Aging Announces the Creation of “A Toast to Saint Rose – Book of Memories”
The Albany County Department for Aging is seeking stories from alumni, friends, faculty, and neighbors, which it will compile into a book to honor the legacy of The College of Saint Rose.
Located in the heart of Albany, the College of Saint Rose was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet whose mission was to prepare students for their careers and to help them apply what they learned to make the world around them better. With the college now closing, it is important to reflect on the history and impact of this institution on the community.
Submissions should consist of a paragraph or two highlighting a cherished college memory. This could be your first moments at Saint Rose, your experience at the college, what the college meant to you, how important your degree is, a professor or a student who enlightened you, or any other anecdote your feel like sharing. Be sure to include your name and year of graduation or the years you worked/taught at the college.
You can send in your story via email to Deborah.riitano@albanycountyny.gov or through mail to the Department for Aging, 100 Heritage Lane, Albany, NY 2211
