Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy and Health Insurance Solutions, Inc (HISI) President and CEO Nanette R. Poserina have announced the results of the Albany County Case Study examining the savings achieved since the inception of the Prescription Drug Coverage program in 2021. Administered by Express Scripts and HISI, this program has saved the County a total of $11,761,373 to date.

“It is vital that we continue to implement programs that improve County government and make us more efficient and more cost-effective,” said Albany County Executive McCoy. “Our partnership with Health Insurance Solutions, Inc. has allowed us to lower the costs of the prescription drugs for our employees without sacrificing quality. These savings in turn will go back into the pockets of Albany County taxpayers and be used for the critical services and programs for residents.”

In addition, HISI announced Albany County will be getting back $1,532,929.51 which represents the rebate funds for the third and fourth quarters of 2023.
