Repeat Drug Dealer Pleads Guilty to Possessing Large Quantity of Cocaine and Fentanyl
Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced today that a man with ties to Albany and Troy will be heading back to prison for dealing narcotics.
David Colon, 44, pleaded guilty to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree With Intent to Sell in front of the Honorable Andra Ackerman.
On Nov. 25, 2024, Albany County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a search warrant at 98 Lexington Ave. in Albany and found Colon with 552 grams cocaine – more than a pound – and 171 grams of fentanyl.
Colon previously served time in prison for his role in a drug trafficking operation that the DEA investigated in 2022. He was on probation until Oct 2027 when he was arrested for this latest crime.
Colon will be sentenced on June 13 to nine years in state prison followed by three years of post-release supervision.
Assistant District Attorney Stephen Lydon prosecuted the case.
