Albany Man Indicted For Menacing Bar Patrons With a Gun
Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced today that a 41-year-old Albany man has been formally charged for pulling out a gun inside a bar and pointing it at the head of another person.
Bakeim McCall was arraigned in front of the Honorable Roger McDonough Wednesday on the indictment that charges him with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and Menacing in the Second Degree.
On April 12 at around 2:30 a.m., Albany Police received a report of a fight inside Waterworks Pub on Central Avenue. Police interviewed witnesses and Waterworks Pub security, who said McCall pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the head of a man. Police arrested McCall and confiscated a small revolver loaded with five rounds.
McCall pleaded not guilty and was remanded to the custody of the Albany County Correctional Facility. He faces up to 15 years in state prison on the charges.
Assistant District Attorney Marissa Olsen of the Street Crimes Unit is prosecuting the case.
ALL DEFENDANTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE.
