Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced today that a 59-year-old man has been indicted for slashing another man with a knife.

Jude Jacotin was arraigned in front of the Honorable Roger McDonough on an indictment that charges him with Assault in the First Degree, Attempted Assault in the First Degree and Assault in the Second Degree.

Jacotin was arrested by Menands Police on May 2 after they were called to 35 Broadway Ave. for reports of an attack. On scene, police found a victim who had been stabbed and slashed in the right side of his face, his chest, his right hand and lower right leg.

Jacotin pleaded not guilty and was remanded to the custody of the Albany County Correctional Facility.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney and Major Crimes Bureau Chief Joseph Brucato.
