Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy is proud to announce the reopening of the pool at the Events and Athletic Center, located on the former College of Saint Rose campus. After years of disrepair following the college’s closure and bankruptcy, the pool has been fully renovated and is now ready to serve the Albany community once again. Participants need to register for classes and open lap swim.

“This pool is more than just a facility; it’s a symbol of renewal for our community,” said Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy. “For years, it sat unused and neglected, but thanks to the hard work of our team, families, students, and neighbors can now enjoy a safe and welcoming place to swim and stay active.”

The phased reopening will include:

Open Lap Swim:

PM: Starting January 12, Mon & Wed from 5:30-9pm

AM: Starting January 26, Mon, Wed & Friday from 8-10am

Aqua Zumba: Fridays, January 16-March 6 from 5:30pm-6:30pm

Swim Lessons: Tuesdays & Thursdays starting January 27-March 3

Infant/Parent (12-36 months): 1:30-2pm

Level 1: Water Exploration: 4-4:30pm

Level 2: Primary Skills: 4:30-5pm

Level 3 & 4: Stroke Development: 5-5:45pm
