This afternoon, Albany County staff noticed a young boy was playing alone on the Saint Rose campus. A member of the Albany County Executive’s Office promptly contacted the Albany County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded quickly, coordinated with EMS and ensured the child was safely taken to Albany Medical Center for evaluation. His family was located.

We are grateful this case had a positive outcome, especially compared to the recent tragic incident. We are thankful for the quick response and coordination of everyone involved to ensure the child’s safety. Since this is an active investigation, we cannot comment any further at this time.
