Sheriff Craig Apple has spent 37 years serving the people of Albany County, and I want to thank him for the dedication and commitment he has shown to our community throughout his career.
Over the years, Craig has been a steady partner as we worked together to keep our residents safe, re-open Lawson Lake County Park, support our law enforcement professionals, and respond to challenges facing our county. From major emergencies to everyday public safety efforts, I have always appreciated his willingness to work together and put Albany County first. While it is never easy to see a longtime public servant step away, I respect Craig’s decision and wish him and his family nothing but the best in the years ahead.
Sheriff Apple has made a lasting impact on Albany County, and I thank him for his many years of service. I look forward to continuing our work together through the remainder of his term.
