Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced today that a 21-year-old Albany man has been sentenced to state prison for selling assault rifles and handguns.

The Honorable William Little sentenced Isaiah Foy to serve 10 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision after he pleaded guilty to Attempted Criminal Sale of a Firearm in the First Degree.

Foy was arrested in January on a sealed indictment after a New York State Police investigation uncovered that Foy was transporting guns into the Capital Region from the South. Over several months in 2025, he sold undercover officers a total of eight firearms (six handguns and two assault rifles) on seven separate dates from Oct. 1 to Dec. 14.

New York State Police Special Investigations Unit (SIU), with assistance from NYSP Troop G and Albany Police Department, served a search warrant and arrested Foy on Jan. 15 at 5:30 a.m. at his Alexander Street apartment, where police found an additional AR-15 assault rifle, which was loaded.

Assistant District Attorney Bryanne Brucato, Bureau Chief of the Street Crimes Unit, prosecuted the case.
