At Albany County’s free Opioid Overdose Prevention Training session, a local man will share the heartbreaking story of the loss of his brother last fall to opioid addiction. It’s his hope that he can help others who have been similarly affected by this epidemic.

Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy invites the media to hear Josh explain the struggle of his 38-year-old brother – one that started after a back injury from a car accident over a decade ago, and ended with heroin. Josh will speak on Tuesday, February 4 at 10:45am, just before the NARCAN training session at the Albany County Department of Health, 175 Green Street, Albany.
