The programs are for seniors who are able to stay in their home unassisted, but feel isolated or lack adequate support systems. The programs give seniors a sense of security in knowing that someone will check on their safety or will assist them with weekly grocery shopping.

Friendly Visitor and Shopping Assistance Program

Volunteers are matched with Albany County seniors to provide weekly socialization and shopping assistance to those who are generally homebound, isolated, and lack adequate support systems to obtain those services.

Community Caregivers is a volunteer organization which assists seniors in the towns of: Altamont, Guilderland, Bethlehem, Voorheesville, Berne, Knox, and New Scotland.
