The Division of Personnel Services is responsible for administering all aspects of personnel management for Albany County employees. This includes onboarding, employee relations, payroll management, employee and retiree benefits, deferred compensation, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, savings bonds, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, disability, FMLA, health and safety, the retirement system, and employee assistance programs.

The Division also oversees the implementation and compliance of Albany County Rules and Regulations, as well as staff development and training initiatives. We are committed to ensuring seamless support for the daily operations of the county government.

Our mission is to uphold the highest standards of service by delivering accurate, timely information to all employees. We aim to cultivate a well-informed workforce equipped to make sound decisions that positively impact on their professional and personal professional well-being.
