The Pretrial Release Under Supervision program allows criminal court judges to release individuals before a trial instead of sending them to jail. 

People released under this program are given a set of court-ordered conditions to meet.

The Albany County Probation Department:

• Monitors individuals to make sure they are following their court-ordered conditions.
• Installs electronic monitoring devices (i.e., ankle bracelets).
• Connects individuals to services for substance use, mental health issues and employment.
