The Employment Services Center (ESC) helps prepare people under probation supervision to find and keep a job.

The ESC works with:

  • NYS Division of Probation and Correctional Alternatives (DPCA)
  • NYS Department of Labor (DOL)
  • Local non-profit agencies
  • Local employers

Ready, Set, Work! (RSW)

Ready, Set, Work! is a 5-week employment readiness and retention program that teaches:

  • How to fill out job applications
  • Interview skills
  • Overcoming personal or legal barriers to employment
  • Effective job search strategies
  • How to keep a job
  • Important job skills that can lead to even better employment

After a probationer completes the Ready, Set, Work! program, the Employment Services Center offers continued career support, including help with:

  • Practicing and improving the skills learned during the program
  • Résumé writing
  • Finding jobs
  • Keeping jobs
  • Clothing assistance for job interviews

Beyond a job, our goal is to help find stable and meaningful careers!
