Employment Services Center
The Employment Services Center (ESC) helps prepare people under probation supervision to find and keep a job.
The ESC works with:
- NYS Division of Probation and Correctional Alternatives (DPCA)
- NYS Department of Labor (DOL)
- Local non-profit agencies
- Local employers
Ready, Set, Work! (RSW)
Ready, Set, Work! is a 5-week employment readiness and retention program that teaches:
- How to fill out job applications
- Interview skills
- Overcoming personal or legal barriers to employment
- Effective job search strategies
- How to keep a job
- Important job skills that can lead to even better employment
After a probationer completes the Ready, Set, Work! program, the Employment Services Center offers continued career support, including help with:
- Practicing and improving the skills learned during the program
- Résumé writing
- Finding jobs
- Keeping jobs
- Clothing assistance for job interviews
Beyond a job, our goal is to help find stable and meaningful careers!
