HOW DO I REQUEST A RIDE?

Get an abstract of your driving record

• Go to the Department of Motor Vehicles to request an abstract.
  The DMV closest to our office is on South Pearl Street, near the corner of Morton Avenue.
•  Bring a photo ID with you.
• The abstract costs $12.00. 

If the abstract shows your license is suspended for FAILURE TO ANSWER SUMMONS or FAILURE TO PAY A FINE, contact the court that issued the suspension and do as the court directs to pay the fine.

If the abstract shows your license is suspended for FAILURE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT, contact the child support unit of the Family Court and/or Department of Social Services in the county where you owe child support and resolve that issue.

There is a $75.00 fee to lift each suspension. NOTE: the fee is for each suspension, not for each court.

IMPORTANT: Get written documentation of everything you do regarding contacting the relevant court or agency and the steps you take to pay your fine and/or resolve the issue that led to the suspension.

Bring your ABSTRACT and your WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION to court EVERYTIME.
