At Albany County Hockey Facility, participants can master the basics of ice skating. The confidence gained from learning to skate leads to personal growth and a self esteem boost that lasts a lifetime!

Through the American Red Cross, we offer six certification courses throughout the spring; two of which are recertification courses. We do this to provide more lifeguards in the county, as well as keep pools open for aquatic programs and summer fun!

In this course you will learn essential lifesaving skills, including: CPR training, first-aid, and rescue protocols from certified instructors

• The Blended Learning is a full course for those who are training for the first time or for people whose certifications have expired beyond 30 days. The time needed for this course is 20 hours in person and 8 hours online.
• The Lifeguard Review course is for current lifeguards whose certification is about to expire or has expired within 30 days of the course. The tine needed for this course is 10 hours in person.
