Grant Opportunity: Municipal Park Improvement Initiative

The Albany County Legislature, in partnership with the Albany County Parks & Recreation Department and the Albany County Executive’s Office, has announced the availability of $150,000 in funding for a county-wide initiative to enhance and develop city, town, and village-owned parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities. 

Individual grant awards will be up to $15,000, depending on the scope and quality of the proposals submitted.

Applications must be submitted to the Albany County Legislature via email to Grants.Legislature@AlbanyCountyNY.gov.

Starting in 2026, all applications must include the NEW - Signed Legislative Grant Acknowledgement Form for the application to be considered complete.
